There's a 14 day free trial so you can check it out. The h.264 editing is frame accurate, just like mpeg2. Editing h.264 files is a bit more difficult than editing mpeg2 files, probably because the files are compressed more. VideoReDo TVSuite also works great for mpeg2 files. VideoReDo TVSuite is an excellent choice for editing out commercials and saving into h.264 files.

Most video editing software that has h.264 support is only designed to string small videocam clips together. I've tested several video editing software packages, none were even close to VideoReDo's ease of use and very functional interface. So, I don't know if that means VideoReDo Plus will also have h.264 support or not. They did say on their web page that there will be new releases soon of each of these products (VideoReDo Plus and VideoReDo TVSuite) to bring their internal code-base inline with TVSuite V4. I don't know the answer if h.264 support will be added to VideoReDo Plus.

There will be more on profiles in a separate post. You can create your own profiles, exchange profiles with other users using the import and export mechanism. I have been trying VideoReDo TVSuite Version 4 with H.264 support for several months. The price might be higher if you own VideoReDo plus (I own both VideoReDo Plus and VideoReDo Suite). That was supposed to be a 'placeholder' for the actual price, which is far less! The upgrade from VideoReDo TVSuite Version 3 was less than $30, including a $2 credit card processing fee. Some people may have seen the upgrade web page last week, where it said the upgrade price was $1,000. This morning, I became a registered user of the new VideoReDo TVSuite Version 4 with H.264 support. I have been using the alpha or beta version for several months. I did not see it on the main web page yet. VideoReDo TVSuite Version 4 with H.264 support is now available.
